Bridging Islam and Education
Summer 2012 - Students from Harvard, Tufts, Simmons College, and MIT began the MSA Mentorship program for local high school students, aiming to bridge Islam and education in Muslim communities. As college students we wanted to use our experience to mentor high school students on ways to succeed both academically and spiritually in ways their parents and imams may struggle to provide. So we decided to build an innovative platform to teach both in the classroom and online, not as professors, but as big brothers and sisters our mentees can identify with.
